Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, reporting & analytics, benefits consulting, healthcare, or financial services.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically in creating complex formulas and efficient data manipulation.
- Experience using analytic tools such as SAS EG, Alteryx, or Cognos.
- Strong knowledge of the PBM industry, including industry trends and impacts on client financials.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and research drivers of utilization.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Ability to establish rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Experience working with large sets of pharmacy, medical, claims, or financial data preferred.
- Prior experience in a client-facing or consultative role preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret client pharmacy benefit data, trends, and reports to deliver actionable recommendations.
- Partner with analytics teams to provide project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate key drivers of pharmacy benefit performance and research utilization trends.
- Develop new queries using SAS EG, including complex table joins and detailed formulas.
- Participate in the development of new analytical methodologies, models, reports, and benefit programs.
- Manage CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) reporting and analysis, including directories and bid support.
