Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency with scripting and development languages like Bash, Python, or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- 4+ years of experience working in a Site Reliability or Production Engineering team.
- Meaningful experience driving Incident Lifecycle processes and improving reliability and resilience.
- Proven experience defining technical plans for significant features with elegant, extensible designs.
- Experience making impactful changes in large codebases safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ownership and proactive approach to professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, product management, and developer experience teams on ideation and technical decision-making.
- Identify technical solutions and operational processes to strengthen incident readiness, response, and post-incident analysis.
- Support the operations and availability of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics and managing on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting code review and design standards and advocating for them through writing and tech talks.
- Develop team talent by providing regular feedback and guidance.
