Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management.
- Direct ownership experience of a platform, API, or internal tooling product.
- Ability to treat internal teams as customers and translate their workflows into requirements.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous environments where scope is expanding.
- Technical fluency to work directly with engineers on API design, versioning, and data model decisions.
- Experience with or interest in applying AI tools to internal workflows (prototyping, configuration, enablement).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Bias toward shipping and taking platform capabilities from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for Product API, the product configuration data model, and product expansion and revision tooling.
- Define how internal teams consume and depend on product data to build a service-oriented platform.
- Drive Product API strategy and versioning standards for reliable, documented interfaces.
- Lead discovery on platform extension as offerings grow beyond insurance.
- Build and scale the AI-enablement layer on the Product API MCP for self-service tooling.
- Partner with engineering and design to guide platform capabilities from prototype through production.
- Write precise specifications and requirements for engineering teams.
- Define and own metrics to measure consumer independence and drive the roadmap.
