Requirements
- Advanced ability to write and execute complex SQL queries for data verification and reconciliation.
- Proven experience validating ETL/ELT data pipelines and complex data warehousing environments.
- Solid understanding of data normalization, schema validation, and database object testing.
- Practical experience documenting full-lifecycle test plans, cases, results, and defects.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA or TestRail.
- Experience with test automation and scripting using Python, Selenium, or custom database scripting.
- Familiarity with BI platform testing (Tableau or Power BI).
- Understanding of database performance tuning, indexing, and query execution plans is a plus.
- Experience with load and stress testing tools like Apache JMeter is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by validating ETL processes, referential integrity, and data normalization.
- Perform functional testing on database objects including stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions.
- Validate data migrations and write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and system integrity.
- Test data pipelines, transformations, and business logic within BI tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts for database regression and integration testing.
- Monitor query performance, execution plans, and indexing in collaboration with DBAs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to track defects in JIRA or TestRail and promote data quality best practices.
