Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive back-end software engineering experience.
- Meaningful portion of experience in Principal, Staff, or equivalent technical leadership roles.
- Track record of leading the decomposition of a monolith into a service-based architecture.
- Deep, current expertise in .NET (C#) and SQL Server in containerized environments.
- Experience operating in a major cloud environment, preferably Azure.
- Working fluency in at least one of Go, Node.js, or Python.
- Strong experience with ORMs like Entity Framework or Dapper.
- Hands-on experience designing API contracts including REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD, automated testing strategies, and observability.
- Experience partnering with data engineering on analytical pipelines using tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the multi-year architectural evolution of the platform from a .NET monolith to a modular, service-based architecture.
- Decompose the monolith into encapsulated services with clear ownership and operational boundaries.
- Manage the application data model end-to-end, including ORM patterns and schema design.
- Partner with Data Engineering to design data models and pipelines for analytics.
- Write production code and help lead the platform migration to the Azure cloud.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards such as CI/CD, testing, observability, and security.
- Mentor team members and collaborate within a cross-functional platform team.
