Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a pre-sales/consulting role.
- Experience building distributed data systems.
- Proficiency in programming and debugging with Python and SQL.
- Experience building solutions with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in Data Engineering (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or Data Science/Machine Learning (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow).
- Availability to travel to customers within your region.
- Quantitative discipline degree (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research) preferred.
- Databricks Certification nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to provide technical leadership and explain how Databricks solves business problems.
- Consult on Big Data architectures, implement proof of concepts, and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
- Support fellow Solutions Architects and provide cross-team technical expertise.
- Become an expert in and promote Databricks open-source projects like Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.
- Travel to customer sites within the designated region as needed.
