- 12 or more years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven track record of system-level thinking and cross-team impact.
- Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end systems, not just individual features.
- Experience as a technical authority who sets patterns and standards for others.
- History of leading technical initiatives across boundaries without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of engineering tradeoffs such as speed vs. sustainability.
- Experience identifying systemic problems and proposing architectural solutions.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for leadership and executive audiences.
- Proficiency in Angular, .NET, C#, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical thought leadership to inform architecture, delivery, and product decisions.
- Own systems and capabilities end to end with accountability for technical direction and health.
- Identify and drive resolution of architectural problems, scalability risks, and engineering patterns.
- Design reusable platform primitives and frameworks to reduce duplication.
- Deliver across the full stack including Angular, .NET, C#, Python, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Lead technical initiatives across squad boundaries through consensus and engineering judgment.
- Set engineering standards for API design, data modeling, testing, and code quality.
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks to protect business commitments.
- Develop team capability through design reviews, mentorship, and knowledge transfer.
- Communicate complex technical tradeoffs to engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
