Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in data engineering and/or software engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading, supervising, or managing a team of engineers.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouses, Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
- Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, and modern data modeling patterns.
- Proven experience establishing CI/CD practices, source control strategies, and release management.
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, and security frameworks.
- Experience with Apache Spark and PySpark within Microsoft Fabric.
- Experience integrating Fabric solutions with Power BI and Azure services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in MS Office and virtual team collaboration tools like MS Teams or Slack.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers through performance feedback, code reviews, and coaching.
- Set and enforce data engineering standards, development frameworks, and operational best practices.
- Manage team capacity planning, workload prioritization, and delivery execution.
- Collaborate with analytics, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Microsoft Fabric–based solutions.
- Serve as the escalation point for technical challenges, production incidents, and architectural decisions.
- Design and maintain end-to-end data ingestion and transformation processes using Microsoft Fabric OneLake, Lakehouses, and Notebooks.
- Ensure data quality and accessibility by following Medallion Architecture and data governance frameworks.
- Monitor and optimize Microsoft Fabric platform performance and observability solutions.
