Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in managing 3rd party bodily injury and property damage litigated claims for insured and self-insured clients.
- Experience in directing defense counsel, evaluating exposure, and negotiating settlements.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-party litigation and contract interpretation.
- Proficiency in risk transfer including additional insured and indemnity agreements.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, negotiate with customers, and conduct investigations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and time management skills to organize resources.
- Must hold required insurance licensing in relevant states.
- Technical expertise in commercial auto and general liability claims is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of multi-party construction bodily injury and property damage liability claims.
- Manage moderate to high exposure claims including Commercial General Liability policies, OCP, OCIP, CCIP, and Self-Insured Retention programs.
- Drive proactive claim outcomes by managing the full lifecycle from coverage analysis and reserving to negotiation and resolution.
- Actively manage litigation, set expectations with clients and counsel, and pursue early resolution strategies.
- Serve as a senior technical professional by mentoring team members and providing guidance on coverage, liability, and investigation strategy.
- Participate in Suit Committees, Roundtables, Arbitrations, Mediations, and field investigations.
