Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with core infrastructure software and distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in systems programming languages such as Rust, C, or C++.
- Experience with distributed systems and blockchain technology.
- Ability to analyze complex systems, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of common security threats and best practices for securing block production.
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization techniques.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize mechanisms for block production to enhance Solana network throughput and stability.
- Develop and refine scheduling mechanisms for block production and verification to enable efficient transaction processing.
- Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities within the block production pipeline.
- Improve pipeline scalability to support increasing transaction volumes and validator participation.
- Create and execute comprehensive tests including stress tests, fault injection, and performance benchmarking.
- Collaborate with core protocol, security, and infrastructure teams on component integration.
- Maintain documentation for protocols and conduct peer code reviews.
- Design and maintain high-performance shared-memory interfaces for low-latency coordination.
