- Hands-on experience with DataHub, Great Expectations, and similar tools.
- Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale data governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in metadata management, data profiling, and validation tools.
- Knowledge of modern data platforms (e.g., PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS Glue).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to lead change management efforts and foster organizational buy-in.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure DataHub for enterprise-level data cataloging and metadata management.
- Implement Great Expectations to automate data quality checks and validation processes.
- Develop role-based access controls to enhance security and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Define and document data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
- Establish processes for ongoing data stewardship and compliance auditing.
- Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote the adoption of new data governance processes.
- Develop and deliver training materials for business teams, focusing on data governance tools and practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align governance efforts with broader organizational goals.
- Profile, clean, and standardize datasets to eliminate redundant, inconsistent, or outdated data.
- Design preventative measures to reduce future occurrences of dirty data.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to integrate data quality controls into ETL pipelines.
- Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders for all governance-related activities.
- Provide strategic guidance on governance priorities, balancing short-term needs with long-term sustainability.
- Report on governance metrics and progress, ensuring transparency and accountability.
