Requirements:
- 10+ years of AWS Cloud Architecture or Solutions Architect work to include experience integrating solutions that are a monolithic architecture with solutions that are a micro-services architecture.
- 10+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 8 years of AWS experience
- 10+ years of CI/CD pipeline development in GitLab, GitHub, or similar framework.
- 8+ years of Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment
- Strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles
- Expert knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB.
- Coding beyond simple scripting with strong opinions on maintainable/reusable code in Python, Ruby or Java desired – prior experience as a software engineer strongly desired.
- 5+ years of experience with Terraform
- Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
- Experience building a Microservice based architecture
- Expert level knowledge of networking
- Experience in system tuning and performance testing.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in building highly available solutions across the entire SDLC stack with primary focus on an internet facing fintech site
- Responsible for interfacing with companies iCapital has acquired and working with a team of solutions architects to create a roadmap to integrate the acquired company’s offering onto iCapital’s platform.
- Stay up to date with AWS’ latest offerings and provide solutions that align with the latest industry standards.
- Develop software & tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows
- Design and operation of a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration
- Experience with distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging skills
