Localization Engineer

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in localization engineering with strong knowledge of the translation workflow cycle.
• Mastery skills in translation memory tools such as memoQ and Trados.
• Advanced knowledge of XML, HTML, and XLIFF formats.
• Previous eLearning experience and experience with Plunet is ideal.
• Experience with coding languages like Javascript and Node.JS is a plus.
• Clear, concise communication skills, and a desire to drive process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage memoQ Project Templates, Plunet workflow templates, and other localization platforms.
• Demonstrate understanding of Localization Engineering concepts including file types and QA settings.
• Work with ticketing systems to manage and resolve assigned tickets per defined processes.
• Interface with customers, project managers, and sales teams to understand client requirements.
• Analyze project scope to optimize workflows and prepare project deliverables for translation.
• Manage translation memories and provide desktop support as needed.
