Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience and one shipped AAA title.
  • Strong skills in procedural material creation software, particularly Adobe Substance 3D Designer.
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop or equivalent.
  • Efficient skills in 3DS Max, Maya, Blender, or similar modeling packages.
  • Good knowledge of color theory and lighting techniques.
  • Ability to work from scanned data.
  • Strong understanding of physically based rendering practices (PBR).
  • Good knowledge of shaders and supporting texture maps.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a focus on improving work.
  • Ability to estimate workload and manage deadlines.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Passion for games.
Responsibilities:
  • Create photorealistic materials for different uses, such as tiling and decals.
  • Participate in the creation of plans and concepts for locations and assets.
  • Cooperate with Art Directors and Art Leads to ensure artistic consistency.
  • Collaborate with Environment and Asset artists using the material library.
  • Prepare patterns and decorative elements with Concept Artists.
  • Work with Technical artists to prepare shaders.
  • Finalize assets, landscapes, and architecture using your materials.
  • Maintain the production pipeline to achieve visual quality goals.
