Data Privacy Specialist

Requirements:

• A university degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Privacy role in a multi-national company, ideally in tech/SaaS.
• IAPP certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT).
• Experience with interpreting and implementing obligations of the data protection legislation and regulations (especially GDPR, CCPA, and PIPL).
• Familiarity with One Trust and/or similar solutions.
• Knowledge and experience in IT and security when working in a privacy role, including understanding technologies such as encryption, hashing, and tokenization.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to manage projects under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility and willingness to work on legal and tech matters with various teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of IT and SaaS products to protect data during processing.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring various country or region-specific privacy legislations and data protection regulations.
• Leading privacy by design initiatives for a portfolio of SaaS products dedicated for the hospitality industry.
• Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Improving and maintaining cross-border data transfer legal framework.
• Reviewing and negotiating data protection terms and data processing agreements.
• Managing privacy incidents.
• Maintaining the Register of Processing Activities.
• Interacting with IT, security, and business stakeholders to identify data protection risks.
• Conducting employee trainings on privacy and data handling practices.
