Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a similar program.
• At least four years of FHA underwriting experience, focusing on residential healthcare loans.
• Must be an approved MAP or LEAN Underwriter.
• Strong knowledge of real estate and mortgage finance terminology.
• Excellent analytical and technical writing skills, including grammar and editing.
• Ability to prioritize tasks with strong time management and organizational skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze appraisals, credit histories, and financial statements of residential healthcare facilities.
• Conduct underwriting due diligence for new and renewal loan applications to ensure compliance with HUD’s multifamily handbook.
• Underwrite complex transactions and monitor loan pipelines.
• Work in a team with other underwriters and lenders to ensure timely processing of loan documents.
• Communicate findings effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.
