Users can lock GLM tokens to earn ETH and vote on fund distribution. As of January 2025, Octant has distributed over 1,464 ETH to approximately fifty public goods projects. Users have claimed 803 ETH as personal rewards.

Engineering at Octant Labs

Engineers at Octant Labs work at the cutting edge of Web3. The backend is built using FastAPI with SQLAlchemy for database operations. They utilize APScheduler for background tasks. You will find a transition from Flask to FastAPI, embracing modern frameworks. They seek expertise in Web3 technologies like smart contracts, wallets (MetaMask, WalletConnect), and blockchain transactions. You will define and drive QA strategy, including automation coverage and quality metrics. You will design and implement automated test frameworks for web, mobile, APIs, and smart contract integration. Expect to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions. This work ensures continuous delivery for decentralized applications. Challenges include building tools for cross-browser, cross-device, and wallet integration testing. You will lead test planning for functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. Expect to work with frameworks like Hardhat or Foundry.
