How We Work
Ramp fosters a dynamic and inclusive atmosphere where innovation thrives, encouraging employees to freely share ideas. The company values ownership, continuous learning, and a customer-centric approach, striving for excellence in every aspect. While Ramp offers a combination of remote and in-office work, there's a strong in-office culture, especially in their New York, Miami, and San Francisco offices. Ramp prioritizes speed and velocity, aiming for constant improvement and quick execution.
Engineering at Ramp
Ramp's engineering challenges involve building robust, scalable, and observable systems for finance automation, with a strong emphasis on data. They utilize a modern data stack including Snowflake, dbt, and Hightouch to process and sync data, and automate underwriting processes. The team is committed to investing in code velocity and reducing friction in deployments, with engineers dedicated to optimizing testing times. Ramp's interview process focuses on practical software engineering skills, including working with APIs and databases, testing, and clear communication, rather than just Leetcode. They are also deeply integrated with AI, applying it to automate financial tasks and detect fraud.
