Requirements
- Have 10+ years of experience in facility or data center operations.
- Have 5+ years managing operations teams across multiple sites.
- Demonstrate experience owning uptime, maintenance, and staffing for mission-critical or large-scale industrial facilities.
- Have a track record of building or scaling an operations function, standard, or team across a growing portfolio.
- Have working knowledge of MEP and electrical systems relevant to facility operations, including generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure, and BMS/controls.
- Have experience managing operations budgets and vendor or service contracts across multiple simultaneous sites.
- Have a strong track record presenting to and advising executive-level stakeholders on operational risk and performance.
- Direct hyperscale or colocation data center operations experience is a bonus.
- Experience partnering with commissioning teams on facility turnover and handoff is a bonus.
- Familiarity with CMMS or facility operations management platforms is a bonus.
- Experience scaling an operations function in a high-growth or startup environment is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Own operational performance, uptime, maintenance execution, and incident response across live data center facilities.
- Build and enforce portfolio-wide operating standards for staffing, maintenance schedules, escalations, and performance benchmarks.
- Manage facility operations teams and site leads across multiple locations.
- Manage vendor and service provider relationships, contract performance, and SLAs.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution for operational incidents, and update standards to prevent recurrence.
- Own the portfolio operations budget and make resourcing and staffing decisions as facilities come online.
- Report operational health, risk, and performance to executive leadership.
- Partner with commissioning and construction teams on handoffs into steady-state operations.
- Improve operating procedures as the facility portfolio scales.
