Requirements
- Have hands-on experience reading US SEC filings.
- Be familiar with US GAAP.
- Be comfortable reading long filings, including footnotes and tables.
- Have clear written English.
- Relevant experience may include equity research or investment analysis covering US companies.
- Relevant experience may include investment banking or corporate development, including deal filings, prospectuses, ownership history, and subsidiary structures.
- Relevant experience may include credit or restructuring analysis, including credit agreements, bond terms, and bankruptcy filings.
- Relevant experience may include SEC reporting or audit, including restatements, footnotes, and changes in figures across filings.
- Relevant experience may include corporate law or due diligence, including tracing entities, executives, and related parties across records.
Responsibilities
- Write questions requiring specific figures from 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, earnings releases, or investor presentations.
- Write questions that require resolving differing figures across documents, such as original versus restated or adjusted versus reported figures.
- Check the relevant fiscal year, filing, and latest amended version.
- Provide a verified answer with a source for each question.
- Test each question against current AI models and keep questions the models answer incorrectly.
- Rewrite questions when the wording allows more than one valid answer.
