Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software across end-to-end data management, including database design, data collection, data analysis, query resolution, datasets, and statistical reporting.
- Understand clinical trial processes, particularly data collection and review.
- Have programming experience in SAS, R, Python, or SQL, and the ability to learn new SQL-based languages.
- Have a background in life sciences, such as pharma, biotech, medical device, CRO, or academic/public health.
- Have experience across project assessment, planning, development, training, and implementation.
- Have customer-facing experience, ideally in software professional services or consulting.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively while meeting project timelines.
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, potentially including internationally.
- Knowledge of DBT and familiarity with GCDMP, CDISC, SDTMIG, CDASH, or ADaM are nice to have.
- Experience with clinical technology integrations, REST-based APIs, Veeva applications, or translating clinical protocols into software specifications is a plus.
- A degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Sponsors and CROs to interpret legacy clinical database structures, protocol specifications, and data mapping requirements.
- Transform and map large clinical datasets extracted from platforms such as Medidata Rave and Oracle InForm.
- Validate scripts and data mappings for large, complex clinical datasets.
- Lead end-to-end data migration delivery across active clinical trials according to project plans.
- Coordinate migration work with cross-functional technical teams.
- Develop and configure validation scripts and custom SQL-based listings for data integrity, auditability, and cleanliness.
- Provide feedback to Vault CDMS and DQS product teams on migration challenges, data volume bottlenecks, and client requirements.
- Contribute reusable migration tools, data mapping templates, and automation initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members throughout the migration lifecycle.
