Requirements
- Have several years of experience with Databricks in designing and implementing data engineering solutions.
- Have experience with data modelling, ETL, and orchestration of data loading processes.
- Understand layered data models such as Medallion Architecture.
- Have experience developing authorization and access-control concepts.
- Know Continuous Ingestion / Continuous Development.
- Have a strong understanding of modern data platforms.
- Be proficient in SQL and Python.
- Understand IT Service Management processes (ITIL).
- Have experience working in agile projects, particularly Scrum.
- Work in a solution-oriented and structured way.
- Nice to have: Microsoft Azure experience in the context of Databricks / Data Engineering.
- Nice to have: experience with Machine Learning and LLMs in Databricks.
- Nice to have: knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Nice to have: very good written and spoken German.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement reporting solutions.
- Design and develop a scalable data platform using Databricks.
- Integrate data into the company-wide Data Lake based on Medallion architecture.
- Develop high-performance data models for reporting, accounting for company-wide IT requirements.
- Support deployment across multi-tier environments and quality gates.
- Implement optimization measures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Document architectural decisions, processes, and project results.
