Requirements
- Have 4+ years of commercial software development experience.
- Have strong hands-on experience with TypeScript.
- Have solid experience with Node.js and backend application development.
- Have experience with NestJS or a similar Node.js framework; NestJS is strongly preferred.
- Understand REST APIs and backend development principles.
- Have practical German language skills at B1 level or higher, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Be able to participate in everyday technical discussions and meetings in German.
- Be able to understand German-language documentation, tickets, and project requirements.
- Have experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Understand clean code principles, software testing, and application debugging.
- Have basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Have good English communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
- Implement business logic and new functionality with NestJS or a similar backend framework.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and system integrations.
- Analyze and refactor code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Investigate and resolve bugs, technical issues, and application performance problems.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests, and participate in code reviews.
- Work with PostgreSQL and SQL to support application functionality and data processing.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and software architects.
- Communicate with German-speaking colleagues and stakeholders about requirements, technical solutions, and issues.
