Requirements
- Have 4+ years of front-end web development experience.
- Bring strong skills in semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress.
- Be able to build a custom WordPress theme from scratch using PHP templates and Advanced Custom Fields.
- Have strong CSS skills, including Sass and modern native CSS features such as custom properties and nesting.
- Have solid vanilla JavaScript skills.
- Be comfortable using Git/GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, npm-based build tools, and the command line.
- Write semantic, well-structured HTML and address accessibility basics, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and SEO.
- Have experience building and testing HTML emails.
- Work independently and prioritize across several projects.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience is welcome.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain public-facing websites, microsites, and landing pages with the lead developer, IT, and MarTech.
- Assess the technical feasibility of UX/UI designs and translate them into responsive pages.
- Build and maintain custom WordPress themes using modern block-based and classic theme approaches.
- Collaborate on coding standards, tooling, and workflow.
- Help migrate existing sites toward the modern WordPress stack.
- Build and test HTML emails.
- Keep up with emerging web standards and suggest relevant improvements.
