Requirements
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related construction discipline.
- Have relevant experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
- Have a strong understanding of commercial management, cost control and construction contracts.
- Have experience with valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts.
- Have strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Have strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Hold a full, clean, valid driving licence.
- Be based in Ireland or the UK.
- Hold a valid passport and be available to travel internationally as required.
- Desirable: experience in roofing, cladding, façade or building envelope projects.
- Desirable: experience on large-scale commercial, industrial or data centre projects.
- Desirable: knowledge of Microsoft Project or commercial software.
Responsibilities
- Manage project costs, budgets and cash flow.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Assist with tender preparation, pricing submissions and procurement activities.
- Manage subcontractor accounts, payment applications and commercial negotiations.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
- Review contractual documentation and support contract administration.
- Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
- Carry out site measurements and assess project progress.
- Maintain commercial records and travel to project sites across Ireland and Europe as required.
