Requirements
- Have 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a closely related engineering role.
- Have 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms.
- Bring strong Python skills and the ability to write maintainable, production-ready code in distributed data environments.
- Have advanced SQL proficiency and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Have expertise in DWH data modeling, ETL/ELT architectures, and modern data design patterns; Lakehouse experience is preferred.
- Understand cloud architecture, networking fundamentals, security, APIs, and scalable systems.
- Have experience working with large-scale, high-volume datasets.
- Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark experience is an advantage.
- Have hands-on knowledge of Apache Airflow or other orchestration tools.
- Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions CI/CD experience is a plus.
- Be familiar with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform or Bicep.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, production-grade data pipelines, data models, and processing frameworks in cloud environments.
- Lead technical design of cloud data architectures and contribute to standards, guidelines, and platform strategy.
- Drive data quality assurance, lineage, observability, testing, automation, and documentation practices.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability across distributed systems.
- Collaborate with clients and senior stakeholders to understand requirements, propose solutions, and communicate technical decisions.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and DataOps automation to streamline deployments and operations.
- Integrate data solutions with BI, ML, and application layers across client environments.
- Mentor mid-level engineers in their technical growth.
