Requirements
- Have 4+ years of front-end web development experience.
- Bring strong skills in semantic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress.
- Be able to build a custom WordPress theme from scratch using PHP templates and Advanced Custom Fields.
- Have strong CSS skills across Sass and modern native CSS, including custom properties and nesting, and solid vanilla JavaScript skills.
- Be comfortable using Git/GitHub, pull requests, code reviews, npm-based build tools, and the command line.
- Write semantic, well-structured HTML and address accessibility basics, reuse, cross-browser compatibility, performance, and SEO.
- Have experience building and testing HTML emails.
- Work independently, prioritize across several projects, and collaborate effectively.
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience is welcome.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain public-facing websites, micro-sites, and landing pages with the lead developer, IT, and MarTech.
- Work with UX/UI designers to assess design feasibility and translate designs into responsive pages that preserve brand identity.
- Build and maintain custom WordPress themes using modern block-based builds and established PHP-template themes.
- Collaborate with the lead developer on coding standards, tooling, and workflow.
- Help migrate existing sites toward the team's modern WordPress stack.
- Build and test HTML emails.
- Keep current with emerging web standards and suggest relevant improvements.
