Requirements
- Have strong software engineering skills in Python or another general-purpose language.
- Have demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and operating production software.
- Have demonstrated experience using coding agents or comparable AI-assisted tools to deliver meaningful changes in real systems.
- Be able to evaluate and improve the output of coding agents or AI-assisted tools.
- Be able to break ambiguous work into bounded tasks with sufficient context, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
- Have a solid grounding in testing, CI/CD, observability, security, source control, maintainability, and production operations.
- Have experience working in cloud environments and integrating with existing systems and architectures.
- Have strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability.
- Preferred: experience with agentic development workflows, repository instructions, automated verification, or developer tooling.
- Preferred: experience coordinating multiple agent tasks or using agents for substantial refactors, migrations, or cross-cutting changes.
- Preferred: experience modernizing, extending, or integrating with complex legacy production systems.
- Preferred: experience in regulated, safety-critical, or high-reliability environments, or aviation-domain experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate software supporting aviation products and modernization initiatives.
- Turn ambiguous product outcomes into technical designs, interfaces, acceptance criteria, and well-scoped work.
- Use coding agents and AI-assisted tools to explore, implement, refactor, migrate, debug, test, and review software.
- Structure work for engineers and agents, including coordinating parallel tasks and integrating their results.
- Evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, architecture, security, maintainability, performance, and fit with existing systems.
- Apply automated testing, static analysis, security tooling, observability, end-to-end validation, and manual review.
- Integrate capabilities with existing systems, workflows, and aviation data formats while managing compatibility and migration risk.
- Surface technical risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs, and explain them clearly.
- Participate in code review, production support, and improving team workflows.
