Requirements
- Several years of experience in SRE, Infrastructure, or DevOps roles managing high-scale, distributed environments.
- A proven track record in a formal management role leading, mentoring, and developing SRE or DevOps engineering teams.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining scalable, reliable, and observable infrastructure systems.
- Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and on-prem infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end reliability strategies and drive architectural improvements.
- Experience managing large-scale technical projects from design to production.
- Strong Python skills for building automation, internal tools, and scripts.
- Expertise in configuration management with Ansible.
- Deep proficiency in building standardized telemetry systems.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OTEL, ELK, Tempo, and Thanos.
- Ability to drive cultural change and partner strategically with product engineering teams.
- Experience working effectively with distributed or remote teams.
Responsibilities
- Shape and grow the Site Reliability Engineering team, fostering technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Define and drive SRE platform strategy with infrastructure and development teams.
- Oversee organization-wide reliability strategy, architectural alignment, scalability, and adoption of SRE best practices.
- Own organization-wide 24/7 on-call and incident management processes, tooling, procedures, compliance, and reporting.
- Define and track team performance KPIs and management metrics for operational health and productivity.
- Oversee the design, development, and evolution of the organization-wide observability ecosystem.
- Lead standardized telemetry strategy, including structured logging, distributed tracing, and intelligent sampling.
- Mentor team members, break complex projects into actionable tasks, and support professional growth.
- Manage technical debt, facilitate workshops, resolve conflicts, and align team output with organizational goals.
