Requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency in Java with strong JUnit testing experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in React and associated unit testing frameworks.
- Use Cucumber for end-to-end testing.
- Understand multithreading, parallel processing, and real-time messaging.
- Understand test-first design and CI/CD practices.
- Have a basic practical understanding of cloud services, including databases, servers, storage, and gateways.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT while maintaining code quality and critical thinking.
- Ruby scripting for step definitions is nice to have.
- JMeter or similar performance-testing tools are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain features using Java and React.
- Build responsive frontend applications using React.
- Develop and integrate APIs and web services.
- Write unit tests alongside code and maintain automated test frameworks using Ruby and Cucumber.
- Create Ruby step definitions and Cucumber feature files for end-to-end testing.
- Write automated tests for features developed by other engineers.
- Apply a test-first approach and consider performance and scalability, using JMeter where required.
- Embed instrumentation, configuration, and logging in code; analyze logs, debug issues, and implement fixes.
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and help plan sprint goals.
- Partner with product managers and analysts to understand requirements and implementation needs.
