Requirements
- Have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in native Android development.
- Have strong practical experience with Kotlin.
- Have commercial experience with Jetpack Compose and/or Android Views.
- Have extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in production Android applications.
- Have strong practical knowledge of TalkBack.
- Have experience with Android Accessibility APIs and/or Compose Semantics.
- Have practical knowledge of content descriptions, roles, states, and accessibility focus management.
- Have experience implementing scalable text, accessible touch targets, and accessible navigation.
- Have experience with accessibility testing, particularly using TalkBack.
- Know relevant accessibility standards, preferably WCAG 2.1/2.2.
- Have a good command of English and the ability to collaborate in an international team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a native Android application using Kotlin.
- Implement and optimize accessibility features using Android Accessibility APIs and Compose Semantics.
- Ensure compatibility with TalkBack and other Android accessibility services.
- Implement accessible UI components with appropriate content descriptions, roles, and states.
- Improve accessibility focus management and navigation across application screens.
- Support scalable text, appropriate touch targets, and accessible navigation.
- Perform hands-on accessibility testing, particularly using TalkBack.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve accessibility-related issues.
- Collaborate with the development team to improve application usability and accessibility.
- Apply accessibility standards and best practices, including WCAG 2.1/2.2.
