Job Details

Have a PhD in biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a closely related STEM field, or equivalent industry/research experience.
Have professional written and spoken English proficiency at C1 or higher.
Bring deep expertise in at least one listed area and hands-on experience analyzing real biological data.
Be proficient in Python and/or R for scientific analysis.
Have experience with standard tools in your subfield, such as BLAST, samtools, GATK, Bioconductor, or Biopython.
Demonstrate strong statistical, quantitative, and analytical reasoning skills.
Show rigorous scientific problem-solving in complex biological domains.
Preferred: experience building reproducible workflows with Nextflow or Snakemake and working in Linux or command-line environments.
Preferred: experience with AI/ML-assisted biology workflows or benchmarking.
Preferred: peer-reviewed publications, patents, or contributions to open-source bioinformatics software.

Design, evaluate, and critique biology, bioinformatics, and computational biology workflows for AI benchmarking initiatives.
Provide expert insights on genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other biological data analysis pipelines.
Assess and optimize pipeline parameters, tool configurations, and statistical methods for accuracy and reproducibility.
Analyze biological datasets, including NGS, RNA-seq, single-cell, variant calling, and protein structure data, and provide recommendations.
Guide the development and validation of biology-related AI models and tools using domain knowledge.
Communicate scientific concepts in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical collaborators.
Document findings, methodologies, and best practices for knowledge transfer across the customer's team.
