- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience, excluding student teaching, at the high school level; minimum of 2 years of remote/virtual teaching experience
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of high school classroom teaching experience, excluding student teaching.
- Have at least 2 years of remote or virtual teaching experience.
- Demonstrate expertise teaching Algebra 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Have valid teaching certification in High School Mathematics.
- Have strong written communication and documentation skills.
- Be able to document lessons, monitor student progress, and grade assignments.
- Be able to communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
- Be able to effectively engage and support students in a virtual classroom environment.
- Have reliable high-speed internet access.
- Have a reliable computer or device equipped with a working camera and microphone.
- Be available to teach Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. EDT.
Responsibilities
- Teach Algebra 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus to high school students.
- Deliver instruction in a virtual classroom environment.
- Document lessons.
- Monitor student progress.
- Grade assignments.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
- Collaborate with another virtual teacher on course content.
