Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Bring previous medical scribe or healthcare-setting experience; this is preferred.
- Be familiar with medical terminology and EMR software.
- Have strong typing and computer skills.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Be able to work independently and remotely.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Work approximately 20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Document patient visits in electronic medical record (EMR) software in real time.
- Transcribe physician-patient interactions, including medical history, physical exams, and treatment plans.
- Ensure documentation is complete and accurate according to clinic guidelines and standards.
- Communicate with physicians to clarify unclear or missing information.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
