Job Details

Requirements

  • Must currently reside in California.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree, or have college coursework accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Hold a current Licensed RDN credential.
  • Eating disorder experience is preferred.
  • Experience or exposure to family-based eating disorder treatment approaches is preferred but not required.
  • Have experience working on interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care, including new-patient and follow-up sessions.
  • Commit to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 p.m. in the working time zone each week.
  • Work until 7 p.m. two evenings per week.
  • Attend mandatory meetings, including supervision and treatment huddles.
  • Work Pacific Time Zone hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support patients and families in changing maladaptive eating patterns and developing a healthy relationship with food.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Conduct nutrition assessments, prescribe meal plans, and assess target weight ranges during telehealth meetings with families.
  • Guide exposure to fear and challenge foods.
  • Communicate meal plans and nutrition concerns to team members and provide related education.
  • Update treatment plans weekly and reassess nutritional needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Deliver evidence-based nutrition education addressing beliefs about food, nutrition, weight, and shape.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with families and collaborate with the team toward treatment goals.
  • Document care in Equip’s electronic medical record and assist with discharge planning.
