Requirements
- Have 15+ years shipping software products or services.
- Have experience in at least one of these roles: Product Management, Program Management/Business Analyst, Architect, Developer, QA Engineer, Release Manager, DevOps, Product Support, or Professional Services.
- Have strong technical acumen and technical horsepower.
- Have strong knowledge in at least one of these areas: Product Management, Program Management, Software Architecture, Software Development, Quality Assurance, Release Management, DevOps, Product Support, or Professional Services.
- Be able to work from home or from an office of your choosing and work self-directed.
- Be able to collaborate with the team remotely and in person.
- Be willing to learn and take on areas outside your initial comfort zone.
- Preferred: Knowledge of project management tools such as TFS or Jira.
- Preferred: Knowledge of development technologies such as C# or Java.
- Preferred: Knowledge of build tools such as TFS, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
- Preferred: Knowledge of test tools such as TFS, HP QC, or Selenium.
- Preferred: Knowledge of deployment tools such as MS Release Management, Octopus, or Chef.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical due diligence for investment companies and identify technical investment risks.
- Create reports for investors outlining technical investment risks.
- Assess software engineering organizations and develop plans to improve targeted areas.
- Identify improvements to technology, organizations, processes, and tools used to develop software products and services.
- Design and implement solutions, including Agile methodology transformations.
- Drive projects to successful completion, including collaboration and project management.
- Participate in hands-on implementation projects using applicable processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal and client technical leads and team members.
- Guide and mentor junior software developers and other engineers.
