Requirements
- Have a degree or expected degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant STEM subject.
- Have approximately 6–12 months of practical industry experience through a placement year, internship, or graduate programme.
- Have basic knowledge of SQL.
- Have basic knowledge of Python.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Be based in the UK and able to travel to London when required.
- Have unrestricted right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Exposure to Azure, AWS, or Databricks is desirable.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems is desirable.
- Understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and ETL/ELT concepts is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal reporting solutions for operational and business decision-making.
- Build, maintain, and improve reusable engineering frameworks, templates, and accelerators.
- Produce technical documentation, standards, and engineering guidance.
- Support internal tooling that improves delivery consistency and engineering quality.
- Learn and apply data engineering best practices through mentoring and formal training.
- Participate in code reviews and technical knowledge sharing.
- Shadow customer workshops and consulting engagements.
- Contribute to customer delivery projects as technical capability develops.
