Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in an Ops, DevOps, or SRE role.
- Bring system design and architecture experience.
- Have hands-on cloud infrastructure administration experience; AWS is preferred, and Azure or GCP experience is also welcome.
- Have engineering-level knowledge of networking and security.
- Have experience with AWS services including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
- Have run Terraform or Terragrunt in production.
- Have experience with Chef or Puppet.
- Be familiar with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and GitOps workflows.
- Have used DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana to monitor system health.
- Be able to read Java, Ruby, Bash/Zsh, HCL, Python, and JavaScript.
- Experience with ECS or EKS, SOC2 or secure-by-default practices, and L7 load balancing is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement infrastructure for migrations of critical systems, keeping uptime and reliability in focus.
- Design, build, and maintain tooling and processes for SaaS products running on AWS.
- Partner with developers to strengthen application reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Build and maintain highly available and secure infrastructure components.
- Align infrastructure decisions with technical and non-technical teams.
- Participate in the weekly on-call rotation as the last line of defense for 24/7 services.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive lasting fixes.
