Requirements
- Have 8+ years in QA and test automation, including 3+ years leading people.
- Have hired, run 1:1s and performance reviews, and mentored QA engineers.
- Have built automation frameworks from scratch.
- Write maintainable test code in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, including PyTest and TypeScript.
- Have deep API testing experience with REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets, including contract, negative, and authentication testing.
- Have modern end-to-end UI testing experience with Playwright or Cypress against React/Next.js apps.
- Have experience testing Python/FastAPI services and PostgreSQL, including SQL-based data validation.
- Have integrated tests with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI and worked with Docker/Kubernetes environments.
- Have designed performance tests using tools such as k6, Locust, or JMeter.
- Have experience with security testing tools such as SonarQube, Snyk, OWASP ZAP, or Burp Suite.
- Have tested multi-tenant SaaS platforms and supported SOC 2, GDPR, or HIPAA requirements.
- Have cloud experience; AWS is preferred, with GCP or Azure also welcome.
Responsibilities
- Build automation frameworks across API, UI, and backend tests.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and set deployment quality gates.
- Design load, stress, and scalability tests.
- Add SAST and DAST checks to the pipeline and test authentication, role-based access, and data encryption.
- Define QA standards, metrics, release and regression procedures, and runbooks.
- Work with Product on acceptance criteria, Engineering on testability, and DevOps on releases.
- Explain quality risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
