Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have 4–6 years of experience as a Product Analyst in a product or technology-driven environment.
  • Have experience gathering requirements and writing user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile/Scrum framework.
  • Understand the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Be familiar with the utility industry, CIS billing systems, or regulated markets.
  • Be proficient with Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps.
  • Be able to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements for development and QA teams.
  • Have advanced spoken and written English.
  • Preferred: Have at least 2 years of experience in utilities, customer self-service portals, or CIS billing systems.
  • Preferred: Have experience with SAP IS-U, Oracle CC&B, Oracle C2M, or VXcis.
  • Preferred: Understand utility billing processes, including meter-to-cash, billing determinants and rate structures, adjustments and rebills, and payment posting.
  • Preferred: Have experience supporting customer self-service portals, customer journey mapping, or integrations involving CIS systems, payment vendors, and bill print vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, Product Managers, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Translate requirements into user stories with business context, acceptance criteria, business rules, dependencies, and edge cases.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings to uncover stakeholder needs, resolve ambiguities, and clarify objectives.
  • Maintain and refine the product backlog in partnership with Product Owners.
  • Ensure requirements and user stories are testable, traceable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product demonstrations.
  • Analyze processes and systems to identify gaps, customer pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Work with development and QA teams to clarify requirements and support validation against acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain documentation of workflows, requirements, and agreed business rules.
