Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
- Have 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation using Java.
- Bring strong API test automation experience, particularly with RestAssured, JUnit, and Spring Boot.
- Have experience designing or significantly extending test automation frameworks.
- Understand web applications and modern software development practices.
- Have good knowledge of Git and GitHub, clean-code practices, and code review experience.
- Have working knowledge of Docker.
- Have hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices, including automated quality gates.
- Have experience with AWS and cloud-based environments.
- Have experience working in cross-functional Agile engineering teams and mentoring or technically supporting other engineers.
- Have strong written and spoken English.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the test strategy for product areas, defining test coverage and automation priorities.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests at different levels of the testing pyramid using Java.
- Design and extend test automation frameworks for reliability, execution speed, and maintainability.
- Establish quality standards, review test code, and reduce flaky tests and technical debt.
- Analyze automated test results, distinguish product defects from framework issues, and drive issues to resolution.
- Develop and maintain API test automation using RestAssured, JUnit, and Spring Boot.
- Work with engineering and product teams to define testable requirements, acceptance criteria, and test specifications.
- Design test solutions for AWS services, including Lambda and S3, and integrate automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support exploratory and manual testing, mentor QA and engineering team members, and report on quality, test coverage, and release readiness.
