Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of professional website, front-end, or web-application development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and supporting production WordPress websites.
  • Hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience developing or customizing WordPress themes, templates, plugins, and website functionality.
  • Experience translating UX/UI designs and business requirements into responsive, component-based web interfaces.
  • Experience supporting enterprise content management systems and content-publishing workflows.
  • Experience integrating websites with RESTful APIs, databases, third-party systems, or dynamic data services.
  • Experience with responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, accessible-development practices, Section 508, and WCAG.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex website issues, investigating defects, and supporting production operations.
  • Experience using Git or another source-control platform and working within Agile or Scrum teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Web Development, Digital Media, or a related field; equivalent relevant education, certifications, and professional experience may be considered.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive websites and web applications supporting Military OneSource.
  • Configure and customize WordPress websites, themes, templates, plugins, and reusable components.
  • Translate UX/UI designs, content requirements, and interaction specifications into responsive, accessible front-end solutions.
  • Support content structures, templates, navigation, search, publishing workflows, and content presentation.
  • Develop and maintain integrations among websites, RESTful APIs, databases, analytics platforms, and third-party services.
  • Troubleshoot website defects and production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply Section 508, WCAG, and secure web-development practices throughout development, testing, remediation, and release.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel on vulnerability remediation and Federal security and privacy requirements.
  • Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support website monitoring, performance, reliability, and production operations.
