Requirements
- Have 5+ years of Android development experience.
- Have experience in Android SDK design and implementation.
- Have experience managing backward compatibility.
- Have experience integrating IoT devices over BLE.
- Have software architecture experience.
- Have experience with Kotlin and Gradle multi-module projects.
- Have experience with Retrofit, OkHttp, RxJava 2, Kotlin Coroutines and Flow, and Koin.
- Have experience with JUnit, MockK, and Detekt.
- Be fluent in English and able to work effectively with technical documentation.
- Jetpack Compose, Material 3, ViewBinding, CI/CD, ProGuard/R8, and Android modernization and migration experience are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Android applications and reusable SDK modules.
- Develop BLE integrations and device connectivity solutions.
- Build and maintain networking layers using Retrofit and OkHttp.
- Maintain and evolve dependency injection architecture based on Koin.
- Contribute to UI development using Android Views and Jetpack Compose.
- Lead modernization of the Android application architecture and technology stack.
- Plan and execute migrations from Android Views to Jetpack Compose.
- Drive the transition from RxJava to Kotlin Coroutines and Flow.
- Ensure backward compatibility and smooth adoption of new technologies across the application and SDK ecosystem.
- Maintain technical documentation, testing strategy, release processes, and code quality standards.
