Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Architect or Data Platform Architect.
- Bring deep expertise in AWS Data Analytics services, particularly AWS Data Lake and EMR.
- Have a strong background in Hadoop and Spark.
- Have experience with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Hold AWS Certified Data Analytics (Specialty) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
- Hold ITIL Foundation certification.
- Be fluent in German at C1/C2 level or native.
- Be fluent in English for team collaboration.
- Have at least 4 relevant project references from the past 8 years demonstrating major architectural capability areas.
- Have practical experience leading delivery in Agile/Scrum environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud data platform architectures using AWS Data Analytics services, including Data Lake, EMR, S3, Glue, and Redshift.
- Architect high-throughput data processing pipelines using Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Airflow.
- Establish automated CI/CD deployment pipelines and infrastructure management.
- Define and enforce data classification, privacy, security, and lifecycle management standards.
- Lead end-to-end data migrations from legacy and on-premises systems to AWS cloud environments.
- Collaborate with business leaders, product managers, and engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum framework.
- Use Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams to support stakeholder collaboration.
