Requirements
- Have 6+ years of commercial full-stack engineering experience, with production experience on both backend and frontend.
- Demonstrate product ownership, including involvement in decisions about what to build and examples of deciding not to build a feature.
- Define feature success metrics in advance, using leading indicators tied to business outcomes.
- Use Amplitude and a product database to gather and connect data for prioritization discussions.
- Write ADRs with options, criteria, and recommendations before implementing major changes.
- Have practical experience with DDD and bounded contexts, and knowledge of CQRS, Event Sourcing, sagas, outbox patterns, and idempotency keys.
- Use .NET Core or ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and MediatR or an equivalent command/query pattern.
- Use MS SQL Server, including reading execution plans and making informed indexing decisions.
- Build frontend applications with React and TypeScript, and use a state-management option such as Redux, Zustand, or Jotai.
- Work with Azure, including App Service, Application Insights, and Service Bus.
- Understand production operations, including SLOs/SLIs, structured logging, KQL, distributed tracing, on-call, and runbooks.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines, unit, integration, and E2E testing, and feature flags or staged deployment approaches.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, or an equivalent AI tool daily.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a Product Builder to take product work from hypotheses through delivery and production value.
- Define success metrics before implementation and use Amplitude and product database data to inform priorities.
- Write ADRs with options, criteria, and recommendations before major changes.
- Design bounded contexts and integrations, and plan versioned, backward-compatible APIs and phased migrations.
- Operate features through deployment and monitoring, including SLOs/SLIs, structured logging, dashboards, on-call, runbooks, and post-mortems.
- Build and maintain backend and frontend features using the production stack.
- Modify CI/CD pipelines and choose test coverage across unit, integration, and E2E tests based on risk.
- Use feature flags, canary deployments, or dark launches for risky changes.
- Contribute to platform architecture, cross-module product decisions, bounded-context maps, and platform conventions.
