Requirements
- Have native-level fluency in Portuguese.
- Be familiar with regional Portuguese accents and informal speech.
- Have strong listening comprehension and attention to detail.
- Be able to produce verbatim transcriptions, including stutters, repetitions, and filler words.
- Have access to a laptop or desktop computer; mobile devices are not supported.
- Have a reliable internet connection.
- Be reliably available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
- Experience in transcription, annotation, or linguistics is an advantage.
- Be comfortable using browser-based tools; training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Listen to real audio recordings and produce precise, verbatim transcripts.
- Capture filler words, repeated words, stutters, and trailing sentences.
- Timestamp audio segments with less than 500ms deviation.
- Label speakers in conversations with 2 to 8 participants.
- Annotate non-speech elements, including laughter, background noise, and unintelligible audio.
