Requirements
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer.
- Ability to identify root business problems and translate objectives into clear ML tasks.
- Solid knowledge of classic Machine Learning (Gradient Boosting like CatBoost/LightGBM, Classification, Regression).
- Proven experience with entity matching, Recommendation Systems, and Ranking approaches (KNN, FAISS, Learning-to-Rank).
- Confident experience working with massive datasets and PySpark.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Ability to write production-quality Python code and perform unit testing.
- Experience bringing models to production using Airflow and Python microservices.
- Solid foundation in probability theory and mathematical statistics.
Responsibilities
- Lead ML projects from formulating hypotheses and task setting to delivering measurable business impact.
- Ensure end-to-end ownership, fast time-to-market, and maintenance of model quality in production.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to build robust production data pipelines.
- Partner with Data Analysts to dive into business context, define metrics, and design/evaluate A/B tests.
- Translate complex travel/B2B business problems into mathematical and ML modeling tasks.
- Design and deploy scoring models to predict search-to-book conversion likelihood.
- Implement multi-objective optimization for margin, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Develop models to predict rate/offer staleness to balance data accuracy, speed, and system load.
