Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring framework.
- Experience with AWS cloud environments.
- Proficiency in containerization using Docker.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Experience with Git and GitHub for version control.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum.
- Ability to work with and refactor legacy code systems.
- Attention to detail regarding medical software security and reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the application’s backend in Java and Spring as part of a mature, commercial clinical product used by hospitals and laboratories.
- Design, implement, and optimize services and APIs supporting the interpretation of NGS sequencing data and the generation of clinical reports.
- Manage PostgreSQL database design, schema implementation, query optimization, and data integrity.
- Develop and maintain applications in the AWS cloud environment using Docker containerization.
- Analyze, refactor, and maintain legacy codebases.
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team through planning, reviews, daily stand-ups, and version control via Git/GitHub.
- Ensure quality, reliability, and security of solutions compliant with medical sector software requirements.
