Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of professional experience.
- At least four (4) years of experience with Angular (version 14 up to 18).
- At least four (4) years of experience with Java.
- Proficiency in core OOP concepts, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and SQL.
- Experience with MS SQL Server, including stored procedures.
- Knowledge of build tools (Maven, Gradle) and Git.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and JQuery.
- Experience with web servers, reverse proxies, and load balancers.
- Visual Studio (2019-2022) experience.
- Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI).
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and best practices for AngularJS upgrades and modernizations.
- Design, develop, and test new features in VA-provided applications.
- Develop Java-based applications, APIs, and backend services including Spring Boot and microservices.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, performance optimization, and bug-fix analysis.
- Act as a technical advisor to VA stakeholders regarding IT strategy and architecture.
- Ensure all IT solutions comply with federal regulations and VA security policies.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to communicate concepts and gather stakeholder feedback.
