- Experience
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy and counseling services.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted, independent LCSW license from any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
- Master's degree in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Minimum of 2 years post-graduate, unsupervised clinical practice experience as an LCSW.
- Experience providing psychotherapy and counseling services and performing comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations.
- Experience supporting overnight shifts between 6:30 PM EST and 10:30 AM EST.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide brief, evidence-based virtual counseling for individuals and groups with low-to-moderate-acuity mental health needs aligned with MHS model of care.
- Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans to support clinical progress.
- Use current DSM to identify symptoms, establish diagnoses, and guide therapeutic planning.
- Exercise independent clinical judgment in case formulation and treatment recommendations.
- Complete readiness-related evaluations including duty-status assessments, Medical Evaluation Board support, and command consultations.
- Maintain timely patient documentation in MHS Genesis within 72 hours (same-day for high-acuity cases).
- Participate in staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, and quality improvement.
